Extra-Curricular Activities

Here in Carrigtwohill Community College, we endeavour to develop the whole person. In addition to academic achievement, we aim to promote the development of other skills by providing extensive extra-curricular and co-curricular programmes.

There will be activities to appeal to all students, such as sport, drama, debating, arts, science and music. All students will be encouraged to take part in some aspect(s) of our extra-curricular programme. This involvement will allow students to make new friends, learn new skills and develop healthy leisure pursuits which they can take into adult life.

Students are given the opportunity to represent the school on various teams and travel to other schools to compete. In early September, a list of our extra-curricular activities is released, along with the times for training, meetings, practice, etc., and students simply come along and sign up.
